As a thank you to our fans, The Pittsburgh Steelers and Heinz Field have made admission to The Coors Light Kickoff and Rib Festival Free!
The Heinz Field Kickoff and Rib Fest presented by Coors Light is a five day event featuring football, ribs, and live music. This year’s event kicks off on Thursday August 28th with the Steelers taking on the Carolina Panthers in the final preseason game. Friday evening will feature a free live performance by Pittsburgh favorites, The Clarks. Saturday features the start of the Pitt season as the Panthers take on Delaware in their season opener. You will need a ticket to attend the game. Following the game is a party on the Plaza with Tres Lads and Saturday evening is a free concert with Maggie Rose at 8:30pm. Sunday features a free concert by the Eli Young Band. Monday morning is the Annual Steelers 5k Run and walk to benefit the AJR Scholarship Fund featuring co-chairs Larry Brown, Marv Kellum, JT Thomas and Mike Wagner all members of the Super Bowl IX 40th Anniversary team. Monday afternoon is a free Steelers Youth Clinic presented by Dick’s Sporting Goods on the field at Heinz Field. And Monday evening will feature a free concert by Country Superstar Thomas Rhett. Each day will feature ribs, festival foods, games, rides, and activities for all ages, and the Steelers Experience.
- There are charges for food and beverages and select games and activities on the grounds.
- A ticket is required to enter Heinz Field for the University of Pittsburgh home game on August 30th. The festival Grounds will be open on game days and can be accessed without a ticket.
- Admission to the concerts are also free. Fans can bring blankets and lawn chairs but no coolers or outside food and beverages.
